Google Search Console is a no-charge web service by Google for webmasters. It allows webmasters to check indexing status and optimize visibility of their websites. As of May 20, 2015, Google rebranded Google Webmaster Tools as Google Search Console.

Octoboard will connect to Console API and retrieve the following key metrics per account for web masters and marketing agencies:

  • Page and query Impressions, Clicks, Click-Through Ratios (CTR)
  • Average search positions
  • Website crawl errors

To connect to Google Search Console, provide your Google account login. Octoboard only requires read-only access.

Top countries ranked by impressions
Description

AVG POSITION

Average position of your links in search results
Description
Average position your website pages get in Google search result pages. Make sure it is always an upward trend.

IMPRESSIONS

Your links impressions in Google search
Description
How many links to your site a user saw on Google search results, even if the link was not scrolled into view. However, if a user views only page 1 and the link is on page 2, the impression is not counted. The count is aggregated by site or page.

CLICKS

Number of link clicks from Google search results
Description
Count of clicks from a Google search results page that landed the user on your property.

CTR

Search links click-through ratio
Description
Click-through ratio is calculated by dividing click count by the impression count. It is a value between 0 (no clicks) and 1 (all impressions resulted in a click).

CTR = Clicks / Impressions
